....to write. !@#$^&!
update: i actually finished 15 pages, believe it or not! and i have a total of 38-40 pages to write, not 34 as i miscalculated last night. *sigh, so i'm half done with one but haven't even started on the other. arg!!!
anyway, since i have to use a bunch of references for my papers that means i'm on the internet too.
at times i'll get distracted and search for cute corgi puppy pictures like this:

| i love reading beautifully thought out writing, the kind that just makes you wonder how the author finds exactly the perfect word to personify the sentence. it's just sad though that i can rarely find good writing to read anymore. it's like searching for a needle in a haystack.. so hard to find.
i finally got my pcat scores in the mail the other day. while i can't say i'm unhappy with my score, i'm still a bit baffled on the distribution of grades among the subjects. i scored the highest on math and chemistry, which i thought i did the worst in on the day of the test. i scored lowest on reading comprehension and biology, which i thought i did average on and excellent on, respectively. my major IS biology, and having scored second to lowest confuses me. of course with all grades that are not 100, i wish it was just a bit higher. i guess i'm a perfectionist. i don't know when i started being anal about A's?
today was cold, but the kind of cold i live for. the wind was killer, biting at my face and turning everything it touched numb. but i really prefer this to sweating my balls off in 100 degree weather with 90% humidity. i have to take 5 bajillion showers in that humid, hot weather and only like, once a week in this cold weather.
anyway, 2 tests down with 2 presentations, 1 test, one 10 page paper and one 30 page paper left until i'm one step closer to graduating and the possibility of 4 more years of rx school.
but before all that, the nearing of vegas and ultimate relaxation.. | | |
| here are two things i hate:
1) PCATs
2) walmart's $4 generics.
1) PCATs, well who wouldn't hate the pcats if they had to take it? especiallly when it's buttfuckin early on a saturday morning that takes up most of your day while you could be watching ut play nebraska?!? (i heard it was a damn close game, too) plus, this lengthy test which tests me on things i learned back almost 2-3 years ago after a long week of 2 tests and lab reports due (i think i wrote like 20 pages this week) isn't exactly my idea of a reward. sigh..why this week? i felt so unprepared and i could blame nobody but myself. but really....i could. the TEACHERS! why this week..!??! :(
2) walmart's greedy ass decision to start $4 prescriptions already is causing added stress to my store. i thought it was just a pilot in tampa, fl. they didn't even let it run for a month before sending it over to texas! what kind of 'PILOT' was that?!?! it is causing an influx of the volume of prescriptions and transfers we are getting and we are still understaffed. plus every other damn phone call is a question asking if one drug is on the list or not. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO CHECK THE DAMN LIST FOR ONE DRUG, check yourself online, shit. the only good thing about it is that rude customers are acting at a normal, civil level while normal, civil customers are being nicer. that's it. i think i'm going to demand a raise in a few months here.
and just some other stuff that's been going on my life....in particular one annoying, uncomfortable situation that occurs weekly from 1-6pm that i'm not going to mention right now. grr..lobster hands!
other than that my life is goin great. 98 and 96 and my first two tests! :) weather is great and now it's time to get fuuuucked up! wheeee.

| i am now back in texas and have decided that texas fuckin BLOWS. well, only in comparison to las vegas, nevada. i think everyone can agree wtih me on that one.
while everyone (or almost everyone) spent their weekend in dallas for the ou weekend i went to LAS VEGAS BABY! this trip was super special because i got so many things for FREE, or more than the usual average person who goes to vegas.
the trip started off with our flight from austin to nevada. we got in on thursday evening around 10pm vegas time and found a Bellagio chauffer to carry our stuff to the limo. we then drove through the strip to get to the hotel and checked in. we skipped the check in line and our busboy pushed all our stuff upstairs. we got to our nice ass room and took pictures of everything and then headed downstairs to eat. the only thing open at 12 was CAFE BELLAGIO..so why the hell not.
i ordered salmon and bao ordered veal..and our first meal bill came out to be $112.05!!! however....it was *FREEE*! wheeeeee thank god for VIP treatment!
then i drank some and bao gambled some and i slept.
FRIDAY: this day started off at the spa, where i got a fleurs body treatment and facial, which cost almost $300. however...it was *FREEE*! we ate again somewhere in the hotel, watched KA (FREEE! $150/ticket) at MGM grand and gambled some at MGM and then headed back to bellagio. I think I passed out early on Friday cuz i was so buttfuckin tired from everything.
SATURDAY: I got my nails done, my eyebrows waxed, and an aromatherapy message which cost about $400. however...it was *FREEEE*! (do you see a pattern yet? lol). after all that spa junkie stuff i went shopping with bao's little sister and it was GREAT! they have so many upscale shops in vegas. it's like that part of the galleria with chanel, fendi, movado, ysl, tiffany's, but extended to the entire mall. i didn't spend that much shopping (thank god), but i DID splurge on some dior jewelry. it was just too cute..i couldn't help myself. After shopping we watched "O" at bellagio (FREE!! $150/ticket), which was fucking AMAZING. Then, we ate again and gambled some more while drinking I believe.
SUNDAY: We ate at a restaurant called 'sensi', which was pretty good but very pricey. I think the bill was about $60/person which of course, was FREE! Then I got an awesome french hair treatment that was about $200 (FREE) and then i went to play my favorite game BLACKJACK. of course i gambled all of my $100 away, but i think i actually saved money gambling rather thanshopping. When shopping, there is NO LIMIT to how much I can spend but when gambling, I put a top to it. Then we ate dinner at a 5star restaurant called LE CIRQUE, which served fine french food. The food there was the best I have ever had! Escargo, truffles, caviar, lobster, lamb, foie gras, etc. Our bill was about 400/3 people...but it was FREE! anyway, having that fancy ass dinner caused me and bao to miss our flight back to texas. the checkin line was wayyy too long; we got to the airport at like 10:30, our flight was at 10:50 and we didn't even get to the kiosk to get our tickets til 11:30!! wtf? stupid america..west. so we ended up flying back to texas at a later flight at 6:55AM. got back into austin around 1:45pm, picked up tequila, and cried because we all wanted to be back in vegas instead of UGLY TEXAS :(
